Who I am

Hello!

Kate Ross, a local Adelaide based speech pathologist with nearly a decade of experience supporting children and young adults. I am passionate about ensuring all people have access to communication, including the ability to engage in reading and writing.

After years working in multiple areas I have decided to focus on speech, language and literacy through my own business: Talking Words Speech Pathology. I am passionate about helping to develop children and young people’s ability to communicate with the world around them.

I live by the Port Noarlunga coast with my little family: my husband, daughter and cavoodle. We love walks on the beach, being in the garden and reading books together.

I completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours in 2016 at Flinders University, Adelaide, and have since completed a range of additional training, including training in:

  • Parent coaching (Hanen It Takes Two to Talk)

  • Play-based therapy (DIR Floortime)

  • Literacy programs (Read 3, Sounds-Write)

  • Clinical Supervision Online Course (Melbourne University)
